I would pick a couple of books and see how they changed not just an individuals life but society. Do you have to stay specifically with fantasy or can you do sci-fi as well?

If just fantasy look at the evolution of Lord of the Rings: writing take took decades, creating a whole new language, making the movie and the jobs it created in 18 months of shooting.

If you can do sci-fi I would look at Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451 and how burning books after that book came out became just plain wrong even the guidlines for banning a book changed. Also Ursula K Le Guinn's Lathe of Heaven makes you think about reality. Mary Pearson's Adoration of Jenna Fox looks at medical issues. There is also the old stand-by and anything written by Heinlen.

"Mother" should only be capitalized if it is used as a name.

For example, in the quote, "Where are you going, Mother?" Mother is capitalized.

In this quote, however, it should not be capitalized:

"My mother is a nurse."
