I find if you write out info in reasonable size font onto A3 size pieces of paper in different colours and use highlighters, it really helps. ALWAYS use heaps of colour and post these papers around your house e.g in your room, on the fridge, on the cupboard door and especially in the bathroom-super good spot!! Revise with friends out loud as well it's good too!

I wouldn't risk it. Wait until you're where you want to be before sticking your head above the parapet. You might get someone with strongly opposing views reading your application and it could go straight in the bin. I'm on your side and I'm strongly pro-choice too, but choose a subject that doesn't risk your acceptance. Good luck, you sound like my kind of person.

I'm an English major, and for a high school student that honestly looks fantastic to me! Don't be intimidated by the other essays; other people's writing always seems superior to your own, because you're only seeing their final draft, whereas you've been living with your rough drafts.

the best advice i can give you is to research what makes that university different than others and try to show that off as much as you can cuz they love to know that you took your time to really look into things and that you are knowledgeable...it shows good character

Well I work at an advertising agency and we only have off-site/part time freelance copywriters. They get paid $100/hour and if we give them a website to write they can put in like hours and hours of writing. One woman we use is a mom and she writes for us but makes sure we stay mindful of her "kid" things. But shes great and always sends company emails when she is going to be out of town or a kid thing.

So anyway, you should try ad agencies. If you think you can writer product brochures, web sites, print ads etc. try it out. Get paid well and make your own hours. From time to time you may have to call someone and interview them to get the info you need to write, and every once in a while you might be brought to a meeting to understand what you are going to write. But it's goood money!

I live on Long Island and we pay $100 so if you did that in the city I bet you'd be paid tons more.
