-can learn anywhere with a laptop and wifi
-work at your own pace, tho this depends on the institution and level of study
-if you are an advanced learner, say a 16 yr old ready for college, distance learning can be beneficial, esp.if the maturity/socialization level is still jr/sr. high level
-Less paperwork and clutter as you can keep most work in your computer and the text is usually on the computer too.

-money saving as it saves in gas and car wear, parking pass cost, eating out or on campus

The above is positive reasons for the student.

-They can work when convenient, take breaks when they need and not disrupt the class
-Less paper work as all the paper is kept in the computer and emailed tto students and administration

-changes in curriculum are easier to make on a computer than in a book...the cost of current text can be overwhelming but using reliable websites can keep learning up to date.

Well, these are all positive ideas but there are negative also. Would you like some ideas for those too?
