Cause And Effect Essays

The Cause-Effect Essay

Cause-and-effect writing gives reasons and explanations for events, conditions, or behavior. It answers the need most of us have to understand the world around us.
When planning a cause-and-effect essay, begin by listing the event or condition you want to address. Then brainstorm to generate ideas about either its causes or its effects. Do additional research on your topic if necessary.
Think carefully about the causes and effects you have listed. As part of prewriting you may find it helpful to diagram or demonstrate these relationships graphically. CAN YOU WRITE ME AN CAUSE AND EFFECT ESSAY?

We Answered:

My theory of what happened here is that a lazy teenager was too lazy to do his/her own essay, and his/her laziness CAUSED him/her to resort to going on yahoo answers to get someone else to write an essay for them (effect).
If, however you truly are a concerned parent trying to teach your daughter, her teacher should help her.

Warren Said:

how can i write a cause/effect essay with........?

We Answered:

I think I would talk about health issues:

Smoking looks cool and it helps me keep my weight down. If I'm careful I won't become addicted. I can quit any time I want.

I can handle my drinking. When I get behind the wheel after I've had a few drinks, I drive more slowly and carefully. I am not an alcoholic.

Marijuana never hurt anybody. It should be legalized. People do not regularly go from weed to harder drugs or other substance abuse; that's just a myth.

There are plenty more, similar issues.

Please help me write a draft cause-and-effect essay on either one topic?

We Answered:

**The site below has good examples of how to get started. I would go with the third option as it allows you to cite empirical research, which will help you get to 400-500 words. It will also allow you to insert your personal feelings on the topic, which could help you round out an intro and conclusion. Feel free to contact me if you need more help/ideas**
