How To Write And Essay

Michelle Said:

How can I write essay in 25 minute?

We Answered:

As a teacher, I'm horrified! Let me guess, your homework assignment due tomorrow that you put off all weekend?

Anyway, the best way to write an essay is to make sure you understand the question being asked. Once you understand the question, create a quick outline of the points you want to include in the essay itself. Remember, there are three parts to any essay: Introduction, Body, and Conclusion. Your introduction needs to include your thesis statement and at least three supporting details you wish to discuss, followed up with a transitional sentence. This will give you a format for a five paragraph essay.

I. Introduction
A. Thesis Statement
B. Supporting Details
1. Topic #1
2. Topic #2
3. Topic #3
C. Transitional Sentence

II. Body
A. Topic #1
1. Supporting Detail #1
2. Supporting Detail #2
3. Supporting Detail #3
4. Transitional Sentence
B. Topic #2
1. Supporting Detail #1
2. Supporting Detail #2
3. Supporting Detail #3
4. Transitional Sentence
C. Topic #3
1. Supporting Detail #1
2. Supporting Detail #2
3. Supporting Detail #3
4. Transitional Sentence

III. Conclusion (wrap it all up and restate your thesis)
