Haha, I feel your pain, bro. I was in the same boat like 6 months ago.

I found motivation through music. I was listening to a song one day and the lyrics just hit me like a ton of bricks. They were so profound, and who would've guessed it was a spin doctors CD haha.

Another thought... Have you played any sports? If so, you could talk about motivation, persistance, and synergy (oneness).

At age 4 or 5 you probably thought only of yourself. By now you have, I hope, done something that cost you time, energy or money and benefited someone else, not you. When did that change come about?

Has your faith in God strengthened or weakened?

What do you plan to major in at college? Why?

What career are you preparing for? Why?

Growing up isn't like turning 18 and being able to buy cigarettes; (not a perfect comparison, because most store clerks will sell to someone who is 17 and 11/12ths, but that's the idea; one day you can't, the next you can.) It happens gradually. Looking back you may be able to identify some small steps on the way.

Well you should definately present yourself, no need to be cocky but not to humble either just bold i would say. i did an essay something like this about a week ago. what i did was i just picked a few of my values/goals and explained how thats whats important to me and how that school is the school that offers me the ability to achieve those goals so just apply it to the scholarship and start writing dont think about it too much itll drive you crazy
