Hello...How to Write a Comparative Essay
Comparative essays call for a comparison between two things. You may be asked to "discuss", by putting the case for and against something, or you may be asked to "compare" different views, events, people or things. As with other paragraphs (essays) you need to be extremely clear about the purpose of the piece. The crucial element is to answer the question in an order that makes most sense to a reader. Although there are guidelines for constructing certain paragraph and essay types, there are no set formulas.

How do I write a comparative essay on The Iliad and The Odyssey ?We Answered:
Thanks God it is a comparative essay and it's much easier then others. First of all compare their sizes, the language itself, main characters (Odyssey is more about one character's adventure and Iliad is about the nation). Compare hyperbolas of the both books. How to write a good comparative essay for IB?We Answered:
I wouldn't recommend having other people write essays for you, because you need to write a comparative essay for your IB final.Well, some tips would be to really focus on the prompt, and don't really go off track because the word limit is relatively small. Another thing to be careful about is in-text quotations- don't stick in long quotes from the book/passage just to take up space or because you have nothing to say (I always did....) because the IB examiners mark you down if you are clearly trying to use up the word limit with this.
I think its really good if you discuss techinques used in the texts, and compare how similar techniques are used for a common purpose (theme) or something like that.
Good luck!
