Essay Writing Style

Harry Said:

Writing an essay on my own essay style?

We Answered:

Here are some questions to help you think about your own style. You might try asking some friends about their own writing styles, so you can get a comparison. Or, you can ask friends what they notice about your writing style.

1. Do you use a lot of adjectives or adverbs? Or are you not a very descriptive writer?

2. Do you like to write in first person (using "I") or second person ("you") a lot?

3. Are your sentences really long? Do you use a lot of commas, semicolons, etc.?

4. Do you like to explain things a lot, or do you like to jump from one idea to another?

5. Do you use really complicated vocabulary and grammar, or do you like to "keep things simple"?

6. Do you like to write using a lot of examples (e.g. real life stories)? Or do you write using a lot of theory (e.g. 'concepts' like 'evolution')? Or maybe a combination of both?

There are a lot more questions I could add, but this is just to get you started. Good luck! ;)

Kent Said:

Someone please name 3 Fads you believe will go out of style. I am writing an essay and i need some ideas?

We Answered:

All fads eventually go out of style.

Wavy hair
Skinny Jeans
Geometric prints on clothes (that will be gone this fall)
Bright primary colors on clothes and accessories (that will be gone this fall)
Gladiator shoes
Using false eyelashes
Long hair
Blue eyeshadow

Remember that a long time ago, leg warmers, feathered hair, rollerskates, layered socks, and rolled jeans were in style.

All the things that are in style today will eventually be scorned tomorrow as "dorky" and "stupid looking."
