I am writing an essay on Macbeth by Shakespeare and I have a choice between two prompts. Opinions please?

Option one seems to make for a lot better essay on macbeth.
-Option 2 is not as related to the point of the play-yeah, it happens, but that's about it. The fact that it's violence isn't what's creeping Macbeth so much as the fact that it's no more Duncan; Lady Macbeth doesn't really think of it. Violence isn't really it.
-It's a play. Characters changing is the entire point-and this is a perfect example of it-playing macbeth, that's what was way more noticable to my in-character self.
-The evolution is awesome with Macbeth-there you can say what he keeps (like his sort of perfectionism) and then things like sanity-does he gain it or lose it?
-The play is about Macbeth and what murder does to him, rather than the act of violence itself-it's about change and humanity.

I highly recommend option 1. It's clearly better for THIS play.
