Essay Writing Lesson

Sally Said:

how to write essay on life's lesson i have learn so far?

We Answered:

What is the purpose of that essay? That is the first thing. Are you trying to persuade, inform or just present a mere idea. Then, think who your audience will be. That is important. Second, organized your thought. What it is that you are trying to say? Have them listed in accordingly. Have the introduction, a striking introduction. It may be a quotation that is related to the topic. That is called the quotation lead for the writers. You can also start a questionnaire lead or a just a plain striking statement. Then have the content or the body. Here you may write the different experiences both good and bad. Conclude your essay with what you've learned out of those experiences.

It is important to keep your paragraph in coherence. In that way, you can have a smooth flow of ideas in you essay. Happy writing. I hope this helps. A clue, have a topic sentence for each paragraph.

Darrell Said:

What's a good essay to write about for Laws of Life?

We Answered:

Just include these points:

1. Love Is The Law Of Life: All love is expansion, all selfishness is contraction. Love is therefore the only law of life. He who loves lives, he who is selfish is dying. Therefore, love for love's sake, because it is law of life, just as you breathe to live.
2. It's Your Outlook That Matters: It is our own mental attitude, which makes the world what it is for us. Our thoughts make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light.
3. Life is Beautiful: First, believe in this world - that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you do not understand it in the right light. Throw the burden on yourselves!
4. It's The Way You Feel: Feel like Christ and you will be a Christ; feel like Buddha and you will be a Buddha. It is feeling that is the life, the strength, the vitality, without which no amount of intellectual activity can reach God.
5. Set Yourself Free: The moment I have realised God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him - that moment I am free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free.
6. Don't Play The Blame Game: Condemn none: if you can stretch out a helping hand, do so. If you cannot, fold your hands, bless your brothers, and let them go their own way.
7. Help Others: If money helps a man to do good to others, it is of some value; but if not, it is simply a mass of evil, and the sooner it is got rid of, the better.
8. Uphold Your Ideals: Our duty is to encourage every one in his struggle to live up to his own highest idea, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the Truth.
9. Listen To Your Soul: You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.
10. Be Yourself: The greatest religion is to be true to your own nature. Have faith in yourselves!
11. Nothing Is Impossible: Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin - to say that you are weak, or others are weak.

12. You Have The Power: All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.
13. Learn Everyday: The goal of mankind is knowledge... now this knowledge is inherent in man. No knowledge comes from outside: it is all inside. What we say a man 'knows', should, in strict psychological language, be what he 'discovers' or 'unveils'; what man 'learns' is really what he discovers by taking the cover off his own soul, which is a mine of infinite knowledge.
14. Be Truthful: Everything can be sacrificed for truth, but truth cannot be sacrificed for anything.
15. Think Different: All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything.

Pamela Said:

What would be a good and creative title for my essay?

We Answered:

Don't Judge a Book by it's Cover
History Repeats Itself--Lessons From To Kill A Mockingbird

They're not terribly creative... but maybe they'll get your creative juices flowing!

Im writing an essay About New Moon and i need 3 life lessons that the reader is taught does anyone know any?

We Answered:

You can add "don't date a vampire" in the conclusion, makes the reader chuckle a bit...at least I did xD

But before asking this, you might really want to think about it. Good practice for future exams.

One of the theme I got is "leaving is just like running away"
Because Edward left Bella, thinking that it might help her, he really only hurt her even more, in other words, it's just like ignoring the problem and running away from the problem.

Another theme is "suicide is bad"
Self explanatory, you can think of the evidence and its effects yourself I believe.

Another theme is "in times of need, friends are always there" or "you might think you're alone, but you really aren't"
Friends support each other, like Jessica and the others supported Bella when Edward left.

Another theme is "don't make a promise you can't keep"
-pokes Jacob-
You can also have another paragraph arguing the fact that Jacob didn't know hw was a werewolf until after he made his promise.

Those are the four themes I thought up of in the past 10 minutes. If you take like half an hour, I bet you'll find one that's better than mine.

I need help with writing an essay about new orleans and the jim crow laws(only the introduction)?

We Answered:

In 1963 (-before- the Civil Rights Act of 1964), New Orleans had an integrated NFL preseason doubleheader (two games) at Tulane stadium with tickets sold on "first come, first served" basis. (p. 48)

"After passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964,..." Jim Crow laws were wiped off the books by a lawsuit brought by the future mayor, Dutch Morial, and funded by Dave Dixon. (p. 50-52)

See story on Buddy Young at Antoine's Restaurant, as well. (p. 61-63)

In New Orleans, Dixon would be known as the founder of the Saints and father of the Superdome. Since Barry above is from New Orleans, I am sure he will confirm it. If you are in New Orleans, libraries and bookstores have it.

Discuss It!
