History: Alot of times they don't teach things that are even interesting.
Science: It is way difficult. They teach things that are useless to know and that are not going to be remembered in later years.
English: Alot of times there is alot of worksheets and you have to read ALOT!
Grammar: Alot of times these days, people never use grammar in their writings and even when they talk.
Essays: They take a long time to create.
The most useless one I think is Science.

Try reading different types of short stories.. often you pick up little styles and ways of putting things that you would never have used before. Look for things like how the author uses different types of adjectives in different scenario's, how they change the pace of their writing for effect, how they structure the writing and how they start and finish the piece..

Practice writing about a similar type of scenario and ask someone to read it and give you critical feedback.

Then read another different type of scenario i.e romance, and try to copy the writers techniques.

I suppose you could say something like

A line taken from a story and studied on its own can have meanings to the reader which were not intended by the author.

(That would work if you were going to talk about several meanings the line has for you.)

Or perhaps:

A single line from a well written story can have the same power to make a person think as the entire story has.

(That is more generic.)

Have a better grasp of the language first.
Before you learn how to run, you have to learn how to walk first. I suggest that you read, read, read. Use it, eat it if you have to.

Write when you're in the mood to write. Don't write because you have to. Write because you feel the need to write.
