This essay has great information, but it needs more structure. Split the different main points into their own paragraphs and elaborate on them a little (one paragraph for how much whale meat is eaten in Japan, one for whale meat smuggling, one for how much whales are worth alive, one for Japan's plan to kill 2000 whales, etc.). Then tie all this together to talk about how all this is affecting the whale population as your thesis.
