How to start my college admission essay?

We Answered:

Being a pediatrician isn't really a personal, local, national, or international concern. You're not writing a paper for your English class - you're writing an essay about YOU. You need to be spending time thinking about what you love to do and stories to illustrate your personality - not looking up statistics for a research paper. I'd recommend you check out this article to help you get started on your essay: http://makecollegereality.com/apply/essa… There are also a lot of other good articles and resources on the site too!

College admission essay about a person who has impacted my life?

We Answered:

Both of these answers are very cliche, and I would advise you to see if you can think of another person. Martin Luther King Jr. doesn't sound like someone who's impacted your life personally - you say that he has impacted the whole world with his generosity but it doesn't sound like you have any connection to him. Remember that it doesn't necessarily have to be someone famous. You could write about a teacher, coach, principal, childhood friend... even a fictional character that may have really changed the way you though (just please, stay away from anime...). I know the fictional character isn't exactly a person, but it could be an interesting twist for a college essay if you write it well.

What is the topic of the Brigham Young University admission essay?

We Answered:

I believe that it is unlawful for any web site to release the topic of an admission essay before the school releases it. It gives an unfair advantage to the people that find it.
