Academic Essay Writing Example
Elaine Said:
Give me an example of an academic essay!!!!?We Answered:
A college level essay will have a concrete topic sentence that tells the reader in several sentences at the most what the gist of the essay is to be about. The next part of the essay is really up to the writer and how he chooses to interact with his topic. If your instructor has given you a word count of say, 500 or 1000 words then work within that framework and develop 3 separate paragraphs discussing different aspects of your historical subject. It is up to you, the writer as to how much or how little detail you give to the reader as you write these paragraphs. Choose whether you have the time and room to develop subtopics such as historical figures within your main historical topic. These subtopics should always tie into your main topic sentence adding depth and knowledge to it while informing your reader.
After you feel you have developed your topic sufficiently you need to wrap things up with a conclusion and final sentence or two which restates but does not parrot your initial topic sentence.
Use this basic essay format for any topic and you will have the framework, after adding spellcheck and proper punctuation and good research, to write a first class essay.
Now go pick a topic and start writing, you'll wow them!

ok..I need help writing my essay for grad school...please read?!?We Answered:
It sounds to me like you really need outside help on this essay. Your ideas sound great, but if it's really to get into grad school, the competition will be intense. There are many places on the internet where you can pay people a small fee to professionally proofread and edit your work. I run one such company at http://www.futurewords.net, but I am far from the only one. You may also be able to find resources at your school (assuming you're currently going to university). Sometimes the English department offers assistance.Hope that helps!

Would it be bad if I used an academic yet kind of raunchy quote on the SAT essay? We Answered:
There is always a place for things seen as "dirty" or "vulgar" in literature and academia. Obviously, there are right and wrong ways of using it, but it is definitely appropriate in the manner that you are asking about. I doubt anyone would have taken points off for things of that nature.Although you can never be too safe. You never know when some pious person is grading your SAT, huh... probably good to err on caution, but EH. You would be right.
