take a pictur and do picture reading. Try formatting words in your mind. If this doesnt help, Write a story without any help and however you feel. Then show it to an elder person to point out your mistakes. Try to improve them. Do you have any tips or ideas for writing an original teenage love story?

We Answered:

yes.. first, you have to read. i recommend you read Vodka-Cola by Irina Denejkina, Junk by Melvin Burgess, The Rotter's Club by Jonathan Coe. Understand what a story about teenagers is and then write about them. try to concentrate on the main themes: drug/alcohol abuse, starting/curios about sexual life, all the bad-lust-related stuff. then, there is love, lack of confidence, bad results in school.. forget about the overused dramatic love, forget about teen fashion and stuff like that..
write about real teens. not about fancy, sweet sixteen rich girls, macho guys. that's just puberty;). keep writing, show it to your parents(they have read alot and know alot) or friends, and keep improving your style. read other books, be inspired but don't copy. good luck

How should I start with writing a story?

We Answered:

The first two answerers already pretty much covered everything, but you said you already have some ideas, right? Start sketching and branching out on those ideas, as much as possible. In the process, inspiration for new ideas will often strike you -- you should take these ideas and mold them into your story.

Don't be afraid to deviate from your original 'plan' or how you wanted the story to spin out initially -- ask any decent author about their latest bestseller and they'll tell you they had a million other ways the book could have ended.

Lastly, send copies of your work to people you trust, like friends, peers etc. and have them give their opinion on your story so far. There are a great many things the author can't see in their own work.

As to your questions about plot, characters, moral etc: It doesn't matter what order you do things in. Be flexible, be versatile; just let the words flow. Not every good story has a clearly defined moral, and some have none at all. In my opinion, stories with morals are for elementary schoolers and you would be very lucky to come across a serious book telling you what is right and wrong in life.

Ralph Said:

When writing a book or a story, should you write beginning to end or write the most exciting parts first?

We Answered:

You can write however you need to write. Stephen King actually writes the endings of his books first then goes back and writes up to the twisted stuff. I write out of order. My sister prefers to write in order. If I'm really "feeling" a scene, I write it out as soon as I can b/c it captures the emotion and excitement better. The only problem with writing out of order is that if you change something in your plot line, it may change your already written scenes. That adds more revamping and editing, BUT I feel it's worth it. My sister has slowly been breaking her habit of writing in order b/c she said sometimes a scene is just too strong in your head to ignore. Whatever works best for you as a writer, go with it. There are no rules. :)

Best of luck with your writing!

How would I describe a scary forest in my writing/story?

We Answered:

Trees that seem dressed in shadows(black) and they should tower above the main character. Describe their branches as if they were arms, swaying in the coming and going wind, sometimes the tree's lower branches could swing down as if grabbing at your character. It would also be best if they were bare, so it would probably be Autumn. If they trees are close together your character could start to feel claustrophobic. The air would be chilly. The only sound the crunch of the leafs beneath your main's feet. The absent sounds of other living creatures could be spooky, leaving your character to wonder why there aren't any other animals in the forest.

Edit~ If she or he found/tripped over a dead animal that would add to the eerie feeling.
