Ucla Creative Writing

Claudia Said:

Do I NEED to take a third year of foreign language to get onto a UC, particularly UCLA?

We Answered:

UCLA is much more picky than most private schools, aside from Ivies
If you are serious about going to UCLA, there is no question that you should take a third year of Spanish. In fact, even just three years is iffy. The more competitive applicants mainly all have four.

UCLA is a very difficult school to get accepted to. If you are just going to do the minimum academic work, they aren't going to care how many extracurriculars you have. When it comes down to it, they want someone who is going to do well in classes at their school. You are, hopefully, going to UCLA to take classes, so you absolutely need to show them that you are committed to all aspects of your education; including Spanish.

Virgil Said:

Is UCLA good for literature and creative writing?

We Answered:

UCLA is pretty good in most majors. Although those majors may not get you a good job out of college. UCLA is an elite university. I'm biased because I went there but it is genuinely a very good school.

Emily Said:

Does University of California Los Angeles (ucla) have creative writing?

We Answered:

The Bachelor of Arts degree in English has a concentration in creative writing and UCLA Extension has a creative writing certificate program.
