Tips For Story Writing

Any Story Writing Tips on This Paragraph? We Answered:
There are a few grammatical errors. I will correct them. Because this is a story I kept the informal sentence structure. What exactly is your teacher looking for?Its been five years since mother moved out and I can remember seeing her run from the house without looking back, getting into her red ford car, and driving away. But its ok. Someone else is moving in right this very moment. A little girl, about fifteen which is the same age as me... have I told you? I haven’t aged a bit. She has messy brown hair and green eyes just like mine used to be, they are now shine a ravishing candy apple red. Her white pale skin matches mine. She’s skinny, but not extremely pretty. She appears to have a cardboard box full of.. I don’t know... probably things for her room. She's coming in. Immediately she smells the rotting eggs. Now she’s spraying perfume everywhere! Eh, She’ll get used to it. I still don’t know what the ‘rotting eggs’ smell actually is... She’s coming up the stairs. Now she's at the top.
“Hey, kid, what’s your name?” I whisper to her.
Wow, I can't stop laughing. You can’t imagine the look on her face! She instantly dropped the box at the sound of my voice. She hears us. She’s checking the door knob now.
“Its locked! Jeez, give up already!” I whisper.
She’s backing away. It won't be that long until she’ll be joining us. The Whisperers, that is.

i know it is weird, but the way that i get ideas is that i think of a random word and figure out a way that i can put it into my story. for example if i am writing about a day at school and i decided to use the word foil i would talk about food for lunch wrapped in foil.for the setting i would think of the settings that the plot could occur in and narrow that down to the ones that open the story up to even more minor events.

Any tips for story writing? We Answered:
omfg i love writing stories too!Just write everything that comes to your head... often when i'm writing i come up with something that happens later so I jot that down... (sometimes even write the whole scene)... and then go back to what i was writing before.
On the net there are templates for writine scenes... I don't actaully remember how they go (like you supposed to put all these different types of details in) so I kinda just make it up and put some of the stuff in my scenes that i can remember.
in the book im writing right now im having every chapter being a lesson that the main character learns.
you also have to really know your characters. (once i had the wacked out creative writing teacher that made us like mediitate and communicate with our characters) but you are the one who knows your character best, kinda like how JK Rowling knew that Dumbledore was gay but she didn't put that in the book.
hope i helped a bit lol

Does anyone have any plot ideas or tips for writing a story for teens? We Answered:
~ Classic romance story, boy from bad beggings falls for a well off good girl. Families clash. Maybe mix it up, add some drama, some family history, a fued over something foolish and forgotten.~ Fantasy: Girl/boy with secrets that no one can ever know. Has friends and a family complately oblivious to their other life. A life of drama, suspense, magic (?), and adventure. What will happen when the two worlds are wrenched together? Can anything ever be the same again?
~ Girl/boy trapped in an awful life, unable to escape. Bad homelife, maybe some drugs and alcohol, losing hope for escape, or even a future. Afraid that things can only get worse. How they cope, how they escape, and how they make something of themselves.
~ Average Joe/Jane, living a life of contentment. Good grades, well-off family, friends, after school job. But one day there is a new kid at school. A kid that will change their life forever. Show them just what they are missing. Romance, adventure, maybe some travel and suspense.
~ Exciting realistic story about a girl/boy who goes to live with a distant family member in the middle of god knows where when their parents divorce. They find excitement in ways they never even imagined. A best friend who shows them a good time. Drives them to a city, where they hit nightclubs and parties. A night they never imagined, and could never forget. Maybe forms a bond with the relative, and learns something awesome from them. Maybe they were a famous architect or actress when they were younger. Had big dreams, but then something stopped them. The girl/boy helps them realize their dream, and maybe realize their own.
Just a few ideas, hope they help!

writing tips for a true love story? We Answered:
Writing in the present tense is not the best way to write. It is very limited, as you can not make flashbacks or looks into the future easily. It also doesn't flow well, and it is not what people are used to. But you can make your own decision, because you possibly have a reason for writing it in present tense.I would make sure you use good imagery and good grammar. Make sure you are prepared before you write by creating character outlines and motivations, a plot outline, maps, genealogy trees, or whatever you are going to need. Since there are two of you writing the story, I would be sure to include your girlfriend in the process the whole time; make decisions together. If you each take turns writing, try to come up with a similar style writing pattern, so it is not disjointed by two writing styles. Re-read each others' parts, edit them, and critique them. It is important that you are both involved throughout all aspects of the story.
