Desperate Need of Harsh, Honest Critique...?We Answered:
that, to me, looked like total gibberish. is it supposed to make sense or did you just write down what entered you head, as it entered it?i mean i'm sure there's an audience out there for it, but i just amn't it. to me, your story is just well-written nonsense/punctuated crap. (i couldn't decide on one, so i put them both down.)

What are some creative/cool ways to present written information? We Answered:
You can do lots of cool things even with pasting pictures and writing down the info. Understand something: text becomes difficult to read if the contrast between it and the background is less than about 90%. That means you can have a light gray background or lightly tinted, and black letters, or a dark gray background or heavily tinted. A busy background, like the sculpture outside so many Hindu temples, would be too distracting unless you grayed or faded out the image digitally so it was less than ten per cent, then put the text on that and printed it out. Try to use the actual picture elsewhere on the page if you can. Photoshop or Gimp can be very helpful. You should be able to come up with somemthing.Vera Said:

Desperate Need of Critique!?We Answered:
Confusing and I didn't read it all. The first two sentences:What I thought a rope, was a snake. A snake that knew my will, that knew my wishes, my desires, what was best for me before I knew it myself.
-- Remove the comma in the first sentence. I'm all for style and everything, but that second sentence implies that you need to shape up your grammar. I suggest rewriting it and work on the grammar to make it an effective sentence. From the bit I read, this isn't your only problems with grammar. I suggest getting a good grammar book and keeping it at your side as you write. Bad grammar can make things very confusing.
I'm not going to really comment on the story because it's out of context. If this is the beginning then you need to be clear about what's happening. I'm assuming you'll be reading this aloud to your critique club and I'm assuming it'll be more than this, like maybe the whole chapter, a few pages, or the whole scene. Good luck.

wut grade would u think i would get on this creative writing task for my coursework? (year10)?We Answered:
B maybe Adont use so many descriptions and words you think make you sound clever. as they say sometimes less is more otherwise it looks over scrutinised as if youve gone through with a thesaurus or something.
I think the line ' I still hadn’t recovered fully from my slight illness, but that was the norm for my body, which was annoyingly quick to get sick, then took achingly long to get better' is a bit pointless. And ther reader dosent know why the parents are meant to hate the girl...

Research paper on Shirley Temple, creative title? We Answered:
Title: As Long As We Have Shirley Temple We'll Be Alright(it was a quote from the President (FDR) during the 30s)
I'd definitely include her huge effect on "boosting morale" for the young and old, the poor and the rich during one of our country's most desperate times (The Great Depression). Her huge talent from such a young age (acting, singing, AND dancing) and how she was the voted the #1 star 3 years straight beating out huge (adult) stars like Clark Gable, James Cagney, & Jean Harlow. How she has remained such a good role model despite being the most famous child star of all time (and at the time the most famous star period) child stars of lesser fame that have came since have remarkably done much much worse as far as reputation and problems go.. Also her political work as ambassador and her humanitarianism. She was also one of the first (if not the very first) celebrities to come forward and speak out on breast cancer. I think she's also the youngest recepient of an Oscar (though it was non competetive).
