Rutgers Creative Writing
Ryan Said:
Good schools to double major in creative writing and philosophy? We Answered:
Rutgers does not currently offer a creative writing major - what the creative writing students do is "create their own major" - something that tends to appeal immensely to creative writing types. All you have to do is obtain and sit down with a faculty adviser who approves your course work to make sure it is challenging and applicable as a creative writing major. This way you can tailor your classes to what you'd like to pursue. You can then take creative writing classes, but can also take screen writing, or english literature if you're trying to tailor your concentration in one direction or another. If you're interested in philosophy, there really is no better place to go than Rutgers, I'll let the links below fill you in and speak for themselves. Our program is top ranked and rated, both the students and the professors take the major seriously, it isn't seen as an easy major - it's given the respect it deserves.
Good luck!

How is the First Chapter to the book im Writing? We Answered:
Good writing, I really got into it. Very visual and I could picture everything you were talking about. It's hard to say whether it's a good book because the first chapter does not explain what the story is about and what the climax will be. A few editing errors but you said it was in the process so you have time to correct the. Keep at it, it's interesting.Connie Said:
What should I major in and what college should I go to if I want to work for a magazine? We Answered:
Considering that magazine publishing is slowly dying, because of the internet, there are not a lot of new jobs in this field. As for the school, it is not that important. Your work examples are far more important. Actually a degree in "Communications" may be more appropriate as this equips you better for "new" media.

Out of these Universites which should I attend? We Answered:
WOW !congratulations on doing so much preparation, forethought, research, and hard work so far!
Someone who knows what they want to do , and has known for so long will almost certainly succeed , and has an enormous advantage over everyone else.
It looks like the only thing you aren't quite sure of is which school to go to, but that list looks very impressive.
I can't really help you decide, cuzz i only know about the two main schools in my state, but I wanted to commend you on your hard work. Too bad more people aren't like that.
Ron Said:
What's better, TCNJ or Rutgers? We Answered:
Rutgers have a way better reputation than TCNJ. The New Brunswick campus is ranked 76th in the country according to usa news ranking last year. I would prefer to go there but since I am a business major, Newark is better because that is the headquarters for business school. Anyways, if you are sure that you want to major in what you said, then go to New Brunswick. I have heard the campus is pretty big, so going from one place to another can take a long time. Sorry, I have no information on TCNJ, but I would recommend that you go to New Brunswick and one more thing, I have heard that New Brunswick is pretty tough, so be careful. With this SAT score, I don't think that it would be a problem assuming you got a good GPA like 3.5
Carl Said:
Could I get into Rutgers New Brunswick? We Answered:
Based on your grades, honors classes, PSAT scores Rutgers should be so lucky to have a student like you. I wouldn't worry too much that you are involved with only one club. Academically you are a well rounded student, that should do well at the school.Good luck to you.
