Chances of getting into princeton? We Answered:
It is worth applying. However, many applicants will have higher SAT scores, will be first or second in their class, and have extracurricular resumes as good or better than yours. Good luck!Sherri Said:
What advice do you have for me?We Answered:
The best way to increase your chances of being accepted is to "sell yourself"! When filling out the application make sure you answer all questions completely and provide the sufficient information. The essay is the biggest part of the application, depending on what they ask you try to show your personality and showcase your academic achievements at the same time. The earlier you send in the application the better (some colleges have rolling admissions) Also its best to apply to some "safety" schools, ones you have as a backup plan just in case you dont get accepted to your first choice university.
Talk to your parents, guidance counselor, and do online research regarding your interested major and careers you like...Many times a certain major doesn't even have to coincide with the career you have, its all about the qualities and skills that you can bring to the workplace..
Hope this helps! =]

What would be a creative title for a research paper about colleges? We Answered:
Making it to the Big Leagues. You are very smart Skylar. Those colleges that you mentioned are big-time colleges. That is why I named it, "Making it to the Big Leagues."
Good luck.

Inside scoop on Princeton?We Answered:
Is your SAT score out of 2400? If so, that's just about average, for Princeton, you really need something more like 2100. (If it's out of 1600, it's good.)As far as gpa, it really depends on the curriculum of your school. Some schools have very rigorous curriculum, a couple years ahead of other schools' curriculum. The schools weigh your gpa accordingly. It's great you've got a 3.9, see if you can give it that little bump!
Competition is fierce. While Princeton isn't a top Ivy, it's still an Ivy. They admit 10% of their applicants, but likely about 80+% are qualified. You need to make yourself stand out! What is your passion? Work it! Do you have piano awards, like state or national, that will help. What about community service, etc?
Being a Christian shouldn't be a problem. I know kids who are at Princeton and quite Christian and they don't feel on the outs.
Good luck!
