That can only be answered on a case-by-case basis but for the most part you don't have to worry much about your work being stolen. Just make sure that you write it from your computer (the program automatically saves the date it was created, which would naturally be an older date than anything the other guy has) before uploading it and you are covered legally if someone tries to use it. That being said I've never heard of it happening. People who can sell their work aren't short of good ideas.

I can suggest a couple of groups ran by very upright people that I myself have worked with professionally over the years. One is known as the Wanderers Guild and another The Wandering Men.
