May I gently suggest that you might want to investigate the career opportunities, or, more likely, the lack of them in creative writing.

Can I get into New York University?

We Answered:

i got accepted and i had an unweighted gpa the equivalent of 98. weighted it was 4.0. i don't know how strict they are but just keep your gpa up, go for challenging courses (honors and ap courses) if you can, participate a lot in sports/music/clubs, and try to get some experience writing for the school paper or for local papers if you can. also competitive academic programs help. i did one when i was a sophomore over the summer. and be cool with your english teachers when you get to 11th/12th grade so you can get some good recommendations. (participate a lot in class and go to extra help). your ranking is pretty good. the higher it is the more money you'll get, but top 5 percent is good. having a good sat score helps also and keep getting As and Bs. If you are not so good in one area make up for it in another area but make sure you have balance. don't be super smart with only 1 extracurricular, if you aren't that great academically compensate with lots of challenging competitive things outside of school (like essay writing contests) and you should be fine.

What are my chances of getting into the University of Iowa?

We Answered:

A lot of it is based on ability. You really have to be an exceptional writer. It is one of the most selective writing programs in the country.

Just make sure you polish your portfolio and get your sample pieces in flawless shape. Revise, revise, revise.
