I'm sorry but I don't think any of the majors you listed will be helpful. If you can't major in education, then I would pick something general like psychology (which is what I had to do). None of the majors there are going to help with elementary education. And speaking from experience you may have those grade levels in mind, but once you get started it may change and/or whenever you get out of college you may not find an opening at that level. I would love 4th grade but the only thing I could find was kindergarten. You gotta take what you can get. If you really like everything creative try english that would be my next best bet. absolutewrite.com has a great forum where you can share and read other's work. There are also lists of tips, publishers, and things to watch out for in the buisiness. Everyone is very helpful and I have never had any problems on the site. There are many topics with news in the world of writers as well.
