I used Writing Strands when I started homeschooling my daughter in third grade. It is a wonderful creative writing curriculum. Right now, in middle school, we are using a complete homeschool program, but definitely recommend Writing Strands!

(name of young famous person), had earned the distinction of being one of the top five on the Principal's Honor Roll from the time he was in 9th grade up to and including when she graduated from 12th grade.

Get the idea. I'm not going to do this whole exercise your teacher assigned you. Personalize it by using names. This lends it more power. Make the reader feel what was accomplished was either a great and good thing or a terrible and evil thing. Use power words.
