Justin Said:

Can someone forget how to write (creative writing)?

We Answered:

You can lose your inspiration, and there's also Writer's Block, a block that kind of stops you from writing because it blocks your creativity flow.

You don't really forget, but how can I explain this?

I guess it's like puberty. Your style of writing can change, and often when this happens it takes a while for your 'creativity flow' to start working again because it's changing and developing.

Ernest Said:

any book recommendations on how to write a good creative writing piece/playscript/poem?

We Answered:

I really enjoyed On Writing by Stephen King. It was an interesting autobiographical account from someone who's been there. It also gave me a lot of help in learning how to edit my own stuff.

Leslie Said:

Love to write? Creative writing?

We Answered:

It was a dark, and stormy night...
And as lightning crashed down outside my window, I came across this question, and felt strangely compelled to answer it.
Who was this "Lauren" person? Why did she need a private eye to straighten out whatever unholy literary mess she'd got herself into?
Only time would tell...

Dames...
They tread the jeweled thrones of the earth with their sandalled feet...

And leave writers like me crushed flat in their shadowy footprints...

Is there any difference between creative writing and constructive writing?

We Answered:

Yes, of course the two are different. With creative writing, you are writing freely. You are not restricted to one topic, and you are not forced to write the paper in a certain way. What I mean by that is that you aren't required to be within a certain number of pages, and the structure of the paper can be whatever you want it to be.

What happens in creative writing doesn't usually happen in constructive writing. I say usually because in some cases, a teacher might have you write creatively about a certain topic. I once had to write a diary from the point of view of one of the characters from "A Lesson Before Dying" by Ernest J. Gaines, which was pretty much a creative writing assignment, but it had to be based on things that happened in the book, so it had aspects of constructive writing along with the creative aspect.

Apart from the latter example, in constructive writing, you are more often than not required to have a certain number of pages, and you are forced to write it in a certain way: thesis, body paragraphs, and then the conclusion, or any variation of that. In essays and term papers, you have to think of points to argue, and other points to concede those arguments, and then are forced to write a conclusion which sums up the entire paper. That itself is a chore, at least for me.

While creative and constructive writing is different from one another, a good writer should always know how to do both. If this is true, I have a long way to go before I become a "good" writer, for, like you, I am a good creative writer, but a terrible constructive writer.
