Hi Latte- I've taught TESL/TEC to international teachers for over 12 yrs - most of them from Asia. Race is less of an issue in Asia than in easter Europe. However, here are a couple of amazing websites you might want to check out and post your questions on there. Well instead of being a teacher why don't you use your psychology skills and find a job in that area. And of course as the other person stated being a translator would also be a very good job. I am sure that you will not have to come here and get an entry level job because of your expertise. But whatever you choose good luck. I am sure the right job is waiting on you.

You don't say what country you'll be coming from, but your fluency in languages (particularly the Slavic languages) is going to set you apart from the average applicant. Since you've also spent a year at an American high school, your familiarity with English and the American culture will make your transition easier. I'd say your odds of getting in are pretty good, particularly if your recommendations are good.
