I dont think Columbia has journalism for undergrads. I didnt see it. Cornell doesnt have journalism either, but it has communications, which i think its close to journalism (i've seen reporters that have majored in communication) Berkeley doesnt have journalism and communication, so your going to have to cross that off your list. UPenn doesnt have journalism, but it does have communications. UCLA doesnt have journalism either, but it also has communications. Syracuse doesnt have journalism either, but it does have communications also.

Northwestern has both communicaions and journalism. In fact, it has a school for each subject. UNC at Chapel Hill also has both subjects.

I think you should apply to all the ones on your list (except Kenyon C and Point park U because its names doesnt have as much "power" as other schools. I think people in other states have heard about those other schools, but not those 2) because you never know which ones will accept you. Communications is pretty close to journalism. You should also apply for every scholarship and grant you qualify for. Explore very option you have at getting free money for school. If you need more, take out loan(s) Just be careful of those fake lenders and scams.

oh and you probably can double major if you want to. i am sure the schools will allow it.

You can do it!!!!! i am doing the same thing psych/premed wanting to be a psychiatrist and i am a freshman at stanford! I did not have perfect SAT scores either. My boyfriend got a 1960 and hes a frosh too. I also got in early at BC. Just take difficult classes (which it sounds like you are doing so great job) and do extracurriculars that matter to you. Its great that you have an idea about what you want to do and you have two more years of high school.
