I have a great book at home on characters and point of view. Its always been really helpful to me. I can't remember the title---something like Point of View and Characters. But its by Orson Scott Card. I've always heard Stephen Kings book, On Writing is good but I've never read it simply because I'm not a big fan of Stephen King. Its probably worth checking out though. And definitely check your library to see what they have. I live in a really small rural town but our library even has about a dozen books on writing, so if yours is even a fraction bigger, they should have a decent selection.

A good website to check out is www.writersdigest.com. They've got a ton of resources, information, writing prompts, and even contests every once in a while. You could probably spend several good hours digging around there and then find even more websites to check out.

When I get to that point I go outside and walk around or do so kind of something to take my mind off the problem at hand. For some reason if I lose myself in something else then the answer comes to me on what sent me outside to begin with.

Most people blog whatever they are interested in and can provide information or insight - or just to have a place to speak their mind. Simply google 'blog' and have a look at the options for blogging - the software is available when you choose your own blog host, so you just have to choose where. And you do know that Yahoo has a blog. Look at what is available and make your own choice.

You may have already heard it but It will inspire anything, in my opinion, it helped me with my novel.

Others i listened to for my novel

Protege Moi- by Placebo (partly in french but just listen to it you can pretend it says anything you like)

Clutch- by Fat Segal (very fast paced but it got my creative juices flowing)

Somebody will miss you- Stone Parade

Gravity of Love- Enigma

Umm, theres a few more but the only reason they inspired me was because they realted to my plot line.
