You certainly can 'teach' creativity ... you can teach how to take a different viewpoint or position in order to allow the creativity to come, and develop ..... as a teacher I have to be creative in the classroom every day in order to ensure my lessons are accessed by every person in that room .... in turn my 'creativity' inspires my students to be more creative by taking tips from my own that appeal to them and which they can use to meet their own needs - in so doing they develop their creativity..... that's what teaching is all about .....

With that in mind then, and bearing in mind your friend obviously doesn't want anything too high brow at the moment like a GNVQ or Diploma or Degree .... then you might find their needs are best served by what your local Adult Education centre may have to offer - their course durations and 'lesson' times are exactly those which would appeal to your friend ....

Anyhows, good luck finding a laptop with 250GB for only 400 pounds. I'm not quite sure of the $ equivalent, but if they were the same, or near, you're best bet would probably be some no-brand IN china (not from).

...but for just 'creative writing', I would say 80GB is more than enough (I say 20gb would be more than enough too... see, I have music, videos, etc. and I'm surviving on 80 gigs. 20gigs - over a million documents :/ ) As for a webcam, I'm not sure what you mean by 'good', but my 320 * 640 webcam does me justice.

So, mine had a webcam, and it was 80gigs. I'm not going to fully list out my specs, but it was $900, a BARGAIN compared to other laptops.

For your requirement, my dear, I say only in DREAMLAND no offense.
