Ramadan: Whats a creative writing topic to write a story about?

We Answered:

The only way a piece of creative writing can actually capture its readers, is if it is a topic which is written from the writers heart! ;)

Write about something which is close to you - something you find intersting - something which has changed you or others in some way, or even, something which changed the world! (You can even go sci-fi with this if you like ;P)

I actually write a lot - I have written many novels, short stories and poems, and hope to get them published in future. But for now, I'm trying to get the important things done and dusted lol ;)

EDIT: I'm guessing you're a student? Life must be pretty hectic - it is even for me ;)

Don't pressure yourself into writing, and at the same time, do not neglect your creativity!
Take notes of all of your ideas (and dreams ;P) and put it on paper - to save yourself from forgetting them.

Whenever you do have any time at all, whether it be at break time at school, or even ten minutes before sleeping, write about a paragraph or more of your story.

It will start taking shape in no time!

Since this is for your English coursework, I guess you have a deadline to meet. So try to save enough time as possible for yoursel (i.e. do not procrastinate ;P like most teens do nowadays lol) This will save a whole load of time - and you'll get your sotry finished. You'll even have enough time to edit it too. =)

Good luck! =)

english creative writing topic?

We Answered:

Open like this: Change is difficult for many people. Most people want things to stay the way they are because that makes them comfortable. What many don't realize is that change makes us grow and become better human beings.

Then write about the changes in your life that were difficult but that taught you something important. You can start with your first day of school in first grade or whatever you want

What is a good creative writing topic/plot?

We Answered:

Nephilim. They are a subject I whole heartedly wish to delve into. They are the offspring of Angels and mankind. They are relatively powerful being with a bitter mean streak. What if one particular Nephilim was born without this innner hostility and turmoil. What if he truly knew he was on earth to do good and as a result did good deeds? However his beauty is equally as powerful as an angels and no human can look upon him as an angel without dying or going insane. In the most passionate of moments obviously he would be at that moment so he is alone. He meets a blind woman and falls in love knowing she will never see his physical self, however other Nephilim come to destroy him through her.
Okay. So I've said too much. I really like dramatic. Anyway I've also been looking at the war between the angels, the mythology of Lilith (Adams first wife turned Succubus and having outwitted God is immortal).
---- I feel as though as writers we get exceedly caught up in the 'hot' idea out now and forget to do our own research and examine mythologies closer. What about Norse and Roman myth. What if a warrior died in battle in a honorable way but the Valkyrie who was supposed to deliver him to Valhalla loved him too much. She refused to see him served 1,000 virgins. So years later he's sort of stuck on earth in modern times without a war and almost no way to die.

--- What if the muses had to train replacements and all the trainees were teen girls in cliques. Like the depressive goth girl was to be the muse of music, the self centered girl was to be the muse of good luck, and the plain girl was to inspire art.
