Concerning majors and minors in college?

We Answered:

A minor is not required for all majors and not every university requires them. Basically a minor is an area where you have done some studying beyond the introductory stage. Normally it is about 1/2 of the requirement for the major and for some graduate schools they will admit you with a minor in the field.

So to answer you question do you get a degree such as an associates in the area? You will have to read your universities rules regarding degrees but generally speaking no you do not. Additionally you mention entering writing therapy and would a minor in creative writing help? It might, depending on the program, but I feel what matters more is your background (academic, personal, and career). In my opinion do what you feel you need to do and not worry so much about choosing the perfect minor.

What are the pros and cons of anti-depressants?

We Answered:

Pros - I am alive because of them, they help my mind to function enough for CBT & other therapies to be beneficial & because of them I actually have the energy to clean my house.

Cons - can take a long time to get the right one at the right dose & you can have to put up with significant side effects until you find the right one.

I write music & there is not antidepressant that has curbed my creativity - I am actually more creative & more able to feel my emotions now I am on the right antidepressant than I was without.

Creative writing story idea? Help?

We Answered:

a hermaphrodite raised as a girl (but not surgically changed) is struggling to cope with her identity as adolescence does its thing.

a bipolar schizophrenic girl is lying in bed and hears voices telling her to go to her parent's closet. they're sleeping, and she's quiet. she looks where the voices tell her too, and she finds a gun. then the voices start telling her things that would seem really scary to most people, but seem perfectly logical and right to her...

a teenage girl is all depressed and whatever and attempts suicide by throwing herself in front of a train or something. she lives, but loses her arms and legs. she finds new meaning as a star on the internet, getting money from guys who want to see a quadruple amputee in different outfits and situations and stuff (not porn.).

a girl is home for a long time with mono, and she gets very bored. so she teaches her butt hole to talk. at first it's all cute and she entertains her friends and family with it, but then it starts talking more and more. it demands equal rights and wants to start dating other talking butt holes. and then it grows teeth and starts eating. how will our heroine get back control of her butt hole? or will it start to control her?

i need some information on a future job careers?

We Answered:

To consider all of those areas, you would need to take courses in music, English, all of the sciences, drawing, and computer programming.

I would definitely suggest that you try to find people working in those industries, and ask them lots of questions about the job:
-- What do you need to do to get into the field?
-- What are criteria for success?
-- What do you enjoy about the job? What don't you enjoy?
-- What is the earning potential (salary)?
-- What is the typical career path?

When you get to college, if you're still undecided, pick a university with a very broad curriculum and lots of majors. Then try to get some internships or part time jobs. The experience is likely to help you decide what specifically you'd like to focus on.

Good luck!
