Creative Writing Teachers

Julian Said:

My creative writing teacher is so hot, what should I do?

We Answered:

i have to agree with what the second poster said. i remember a previous question you asked relating to the fact that you're still in high school. Even if you are 18, it's by default taboo for a teacher to have anything to do with any of their students.

Word would get out about it too, and i can tell you that he will lose his job. i have been witness to a lot of situations like this. Even if absolutely nothing happens, a school is a ridiculous place of gossip when it relates to teachers talking to each other. Keeping it under wraps is just impossible.

A crazy example is something that actually happened to me. i admit, i had a crush on my French teacher. Her and i actually did go out for some meals and what not. i was young and i didn't think or see anything about it at the time-i saw ourselves as friends. But now looking back on it, i realize that these had to be dates-how often do you hear about these sort of things?

Either way, in the end, she ended up losing her job. Word got out. :( :( i will never lose the amount of guilt i have over that-i feel completely responsible for what happened, even though it was truly on her to not have taken things as far as she did (going out to places with me).

Marion Said:

How do I land a gig as a creative writing teacher?

We Answered:

First you need a degree in either Language Arts or English with the education classes needed for a teaching certificate. You then need to complete student teaching or a practicum, whichever it is called in your state. Finally, you need to get a position in a middle school or high school teaching Language Arts and wait, wait, wait, until the teacher who has been teaching creative writing retires. Creative writing is usually an elective or honors class and the new teachers don't generally get those. It's a"pay your dues" kind of thing in most schools.

creative writing teachers?

We Answered:

I have students in class who have taken creative writing. They may be creative but cannot write using correct grammar. They consider it a waste of time.
