Samuel Said:

I was thinkin about becoming an actor or musician?

We Answered:

"6. Confidence- probably my weekest point. I'm probably the most insecure person ANY of you would ever meet in your life."

Right there, NO, neither field will suit you as a profession, ESPECIALLY acting.
ANY career in the public eye DEMANDS a high degree of self-confidence. You will have to perform in front of people, and you will have to audition to get jobs. That means that you will be up against others competing for the same job, and if you don't have a HIGH degree of self-confidence, you will be crushed at all the "no"s you will get.

You already stated that "I'm NOT willing to stand in front of an audience and sit there and sing and play an instrument, at least not until I get more practice on both..." Actor and musicians have the confidence to do it, even when they are terrible. They have the attitude that they'll get better with practice. And, they do.

NOPE. NEITHER. You are too sensitive and too self-conscious to perform in front of people, and at 16, frankly, too young to start to develop the skills you need. Not to say you can't, just that by the time you learn to overcome your shyness, and master the vocal training for acting and/or music, you will be in your late 20s, which is too old. There is a reason American Idol has an age cut off date of 28. To be successful with the public, you have to be young enough to put in the years to build up a following. Many of the actors who are popular (except for reality shows, and they really don't count) started at an early age.

It's a nice fantasy, but the reality is that you are not cut out for them. You can't even read music yet! To even TRY to master either skill would require non-stop dedication and practice, with a very competent (read: EXPENSIVE) tutor.

I'm assuming you are not really good at anything education-wise, like science, or math, or history, etc...Well, at your age, if you don't want to spend a decade or so doing dead-end menial jobs, you should seriously sit down with a career councilor at your school and take some career testing to find out what your strongest skills are, and then focus your education in those directions.

EVERYONE wants to be an artist, or a singer, or an actor. But unless you start early, and dedicate the majority of your years to perfecting the craft, you will never be a success without a master stroke of good luck, like Susan Boyle. And even she had been singing for the better part of 30 years before being discovered.

I don't mean to rain on your parade, but you need to at least hear the realities, even if you then choose to ignore them.

Best of success to you.

I want to Sell My Dell Media Centre Complete Desktop Package, How Much is a Good Price?

We Answered:

I would suggest compare it with the online shops offering such kind of desktop package and make half of the total price what they have for the new one, as you are selling a second hand desktop package.

I don't feel comfortable answering it, actually its more like an ad rather than a question hehe no offense.

Anyway, Good luck

Priscilla Said:

Could you pls review part of my resume and tell me if it looks OK?

We Answered:

A bit too much info in my opinion. Your CV should never be more than 2 pages long, otherwise it might not be read at all.

The interview is when you tell all the details they want to know.

Discuss It!
