Creative Writing Seminars

Leo Said:

Visual Arts and Writing Camps?

We Answered:

I'd suggest checking out Westminster College's Writing Your World summer camp. It's a week long, residential camp and some of the scheduled workshops include poetry, creative writing, a tour of the newspaper and meeting with reporters, nature hikes and free writing, author's tea, and other activities. Plus, if you're a junior or senior, you can earn two college credits.

We Answered:

Sounds good. Just work hard, and you'll be fine. Good luck with the rest of high school!

What do you think of my senior year schedule?

We Answered:

First of all, I would change Economics to AP Economics if at all possible and also I would fill the "free gap" and think about changing the creative writing class because it seems a bit elementary, almost like a blow off class. If you are trying to get into a Great university blow off classes will not help. So try filling the free void with a forgien language class or maybe a science. I am aware you met the reccomended amount of science, however colleges want people who go the extra COUPLE of miles.Other than that your schedule seems pretty flawless.

Hope I helped!!

Do creative writing classes actually help you develop your individual talent?[like gotham]?

We Answered:

IDK if you ask me I think you either have it or dont in life, I dont believe that books and teachers make you smart, all though teachers are good for practice in competition...

Delores Said:

Can I get into my top choice colleges?

We Answered:

Honestly, your really behind because of your freshman grades. No matter how many extracurriculars/clubs you join, if you have a low GPA, colleges are not going to accept you. Not sure for some of the colleges you put up (not familiar with them), but your gonna have a tough time getting into Northwestern, USC, and NYU even if you get decent grades from here on out. Attempt to go for straight As if you really want to get into one of these universities. Its going to be tough getting out of the hole you dug for yourself so far.

Edit: Also not familiar with credit recovery classes. If they could somehow replace your freshman class history and bio grades, that would be really great.
