I don't know of any sites that lists creative writing prompts, but I do have a couple of ideas.

I remember when I was in high school I once wrote an essay describing a sheet of notebook paper. I usually did it out of boredom. You could describe the sheet of paper in as much detail as possible and describe how the ink (or lead if you're using a pencil) looks on it, etc.

Another idea is to give a very great and detailed explanation as to why a dog would eat your homework. Or think up any far out excuse as to why your homework is late and explain it. I'm pretty sure your teacher would get a chuckle out of it.

A third idea is to take your favorite novel and write an extra chapter to it. Think of a story that you loved and didn't want to see end, and write an alternate ending. You could also do the same to your favorite movie.

And finally, my 9th grade English teacher once had us write an essay on how to do something. You could try writing your own user guide to doing something that you do well like riding a bike, cooking, laundry, sleeping, etc.

Five ways in which I prompted creative writing:

1. Put on a music CD, from Tchaikovsky or Beethoven. Sit in a comfortable armchair. Close your eyes and picture anything which the music suggests to you might be happening.

2. Do 10 minutes of stretching and warm-up exercises and go for a 2 mile jog.

3. Visit the Art Gallery or an exhibition at the Museum and read all the details on the information boards next to each display.

4. Go to a movie such as "Mao's Last Dancer" or "Julie and Julia".

5. Spend half an hour at your local Library perusing the books. Choose an autobiography or biography to read

I like to start out with a lengthy dictionary definition.
"Justice has been defined as; ..............."
and you can list several sources and definitions. This provides a nice opener to which you can add something of a thesis to be explored further such as lack of justice
you can go into the justice system, judiciary branch, supreme court..
issues like the death penalty
and eye for an eye
is it inhumane?
there are so many possible directions you can take this

i think you should write about feelings too. Ex. Love, shyness, madness, discust. ect. You could write about thunder, and lightning and hail. idk, hope i helped, i don't think i did, sorry. :) good luck
