Adam Said:

I'm looking for some really good books I normally wouldn't read?

We Answered:

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak
The Help, Kathryn Stockett

Lester Said:

creative teaching ideas?

We Answered:

The only things that stuck onto my mind during high school were the demonstrations. And quiz games. I guess for creative writing you could have everyone open a Blogger account and write a haiku or two or post a poem up for the class to see. This is a tremendous creative outlet for lots of people and the effects of any interactive demonstrations will remain embeded in your classmates' minds years afterwards.

Regina Said:

im having writers block?

We Answered:

- Write a few paragraphs about something that turns out to be something else. for example, a vicious war between enemy forces is revealed to be a toy soldier fight between two little boys, ended when their mother calls them for dinner. Or a scene about somebody cutting into something with a sharp knife, with 'innards' 'bleeding' out, and reveal it to be some sort of bakery good xD

- For non-fiction, write a brief memoir of something in your childhood. Give it significance, put some sort of message in it.

- Do a creative description of still life. Artists' portfolios often have images a fruit, for example. Do the same, but paint with your words.
