Well Im in school as well so it might be basically the same as u feel .

I really love both since i can do both with a few struggles in personal writing

I love creative writing as well but I have a problem of which wen I am told to write smthing I end up having too many ideas and writing above the limited space. Well there is another reason why I hate being given something to write about ,its because I have my own imagination and type of writing I like right so if given some statement to write about I have a limited world to write about and yet writing should be broad (allowing me to broaden my ideas sorry my answer is boring I know)

Well the worst piece I ever had was on telling about myself, not that I coudn't exactly write it but that actually i got many things I can say about myself so it ended up being the worstinthe sense that I could end up writing the useless things (wierd but thats actually true).

I like ur one though coz maybe ur teacher saw that u had some great imagination and even though you had nothing fictional about it ur ideas had taken u to some new realm. (being ur cat ) at least u made the most normal part of it on food etc rather than mine where I could struggle thinking about hw i can summarise about myself /
