Creative Writing Personal Statement

Bonnie Said:

I plan on doing a degree in English language & creative writing what should i write for my personal statement?

We Answered:

We can't write a personal statement for you. Creative writing implies that you are able to come up with lots of original ideas yourself! Go and have a good sleep and try again...You did say you were going to try really hard!

I need help writing a personal statement for an events management course?

We Answered:

I would start with something like this -

BANG!

As an events manager, you need to start everything off with a bang! No matter how interesting the next thing is going to be, if you lose the client at stage one, you've lost them forever.
My experiences as a [insert something you've done that uses similar skills] has ensured I know that [insert some knowledge you need for events management]

Hope it helps! It literally and metaphorically starts with a BANG. They truly can't fault you.

Any tips for writing a personal statement?

We Answered:

I always reccomend writing about your hobby. Something you'll write the most passionately about. Connect it to how it's helped you developed as a person. I personally wrote about how much I love writing and how I like to go back and see the person I was a year or even 5 years ago to see how much I've changed or haven't. Write what you know. Remember that schools will usually look at your GPA, SAT and junior/senior courses first so think of your personal statement as a place to just write about whatever you love or like. Remember that the people reading your personal statement will be reading ALOT at once. You don't necessarily have to try to stick out. Just give them a good sense of what you like, who you are and why you like it. Good luck! They were always the hardest part of the admissions process for me.

I need help with a personal statement/creative writing?

I hope you're not starting your first sentence that way.

Why not start off with something like: "The number one leading cause of death in America is obesity. In this day an age, health and fitness are factors that have been taken out of busy schedules/our busy lives. As a health/fitness major, my obvious goal would be to get as many people informed and back on track..."

Maybe not so much that last sentence, but you get my drift. If you want to get accepted, you need to have your essay stand out.
