Creative Writing Papers

Jonathan Said:

Do you think I should get drunk before writing a creative paper?

We Answered:

No when you are drunk you tend to think you are saying really wonderful things but sober they are usually pretty stupid - I think the trick really is not to try too hard relax and free write without stopping if you run out of thoughts right la la la till you get something else coming in then edit your best bits if you run out of steam jog your creativity by flicking through magazine images till something takes your interest or doodling and then free writing about what you see. Just keep yourself loose rather than drunk.Don't stop to think till you want to edit.

Inanimate object creative writing paper?

We Answered:

take your (5) senses and apply them to the attributes of a campfire.
how does the wind make you feel? what would you "see" around you? campers? what are they doing? what do you hear? etc.

I hope that atleast gives you a good place to start. Just keep answering questions like that until you have enough info for the paper. Good luck! :)

Henry Said:

HELP ME CREATIVE WRITERS! how would you begin to write a creative writing paper about a greek or roman deity?

We Answered:

How would I do it?

1) Write out a character profile. You need to know everything about the character, from her favorite song to her first kiss. If this is the Aphrodite of myth, does she have thousands of years worth of memories? Stuff like that. Do one for any supporting characters, any antagonists, et cetera.
2) Write the story as an outline. This happens. Then this happens. No flowery language, no description, just raw facts. Rearrange or edit until you love it.
3) Write the story, following the outline, wandering off track if it is better than your original idea, fleshing out scenes with descriptions and detail.

To be fair, unless you're really experienced, that's how I'd recommend starting any story.

Hope it goes well.
