Creative Writing Online Course

Lena Said:

What is your opinion on taking a college course that will not count towards your major?

We Answered:

Take the class! You may not be presented with this opportunity in the future, and if writing is what you love to do, then you should not hesitate in signing up for the class. Although it may not count toward your major, you will enjoy the class and will learn more about writing. If you don't take the course, you will probably regret it and think "Oh, I should have taken that class, I would have loved it!" Don't let the practicality of the course dissuade you. You don't know where you'll be in a few years...who knows- you may be the next huge author...

Nancy Said:

I Want To Be a Journalist/Writer but Unsure How..?

We Answered:

One of the most well respected degrees in the industry is a degree in English or a degree in Literature. There are some actual Journalism degrees, but they aren't as flexible. Employer's know that English majors can express them selves well through writing.

There are several schools that currently offer an online Bachelor's degree in English. A minimum requirement by many employers:

Ashford University
University of Maryland University College
Ellis University
University of Illinois
Regent University
University of Phoenix
Southern New Hampshire University

There are a few other colleges listed at the source below if you want to perform a secondary search and compare schools to make sure you choose the best one. I just grabbed the first few I saw...

I hope that helps!
