We Answered:

Something that will not bore the reader (your teacher, peers)... something that would interest you...
1. a life lesson
2. romance
3. daring adventure
4. death/birth of loved one
5. unforgetable adventure...
Don't forget a bunch of details!

Jeanne Said:

I need some ideas on a creative presentation means for a narrative writing paper.?

We Answered:

What is your topic or story?

Gail Said:

Help with narrative: I love writing dialogue but get bored describing things- any tips?

We Answered:

Write graphic novels or plays. There is very little narrative in either of those.

Otherwise, I would suggest writing whatever you will in a stream of conscousness style, and go back and edit the cliched bits later. That way you won't get bogged down in every turn of phrase.

Heather Said:

Narrative modes in creative writing. Is story telling possible with no speech?

We Answered:

You COULD write a whole novel like that, but I wouldn't if I were you. Just from reading those extracts, I miss the speech. In order for this narrative technique to be effective, I think the lack of speech would need to be unnoticable. It could be just because I was focusing on the fact that there was no speech, but I found it irritating. It feels like watching a film with the sound turned off, you can appreciate the excellent camera angles and the actor's body language, but it's so much better if you can hear what they're saying as well.
It's your job as the author to tell me what happened, it's annoying to have to imagine what the people are saying. It's as if you couldn't think of something foul for the guy to whisper, or you weren't confident enough in your own made up world to plot out a root on it, so you're leaving up to the reader to make up their own story. It comes across as kind of half-hearted.
You could just use a very small amount of speech. Have the boss start like a sentence of his plans, and then go on to describe a long, complicated meeting without including all the speech. I think that would be more efective. Or perhaps you could just have the odd scene with no speech. The first extact above is quite effective and it could come across as more shocking and strange if you suddenly cut out all the sound.

People who enjoy creative writing/are creative?

We Answered:

Let's think.

Gray sky, cold weather, green landscape makes me evoke the time when my father and I used to go to the nearest open space to fly kites.and bla bla bla...

White sand, emerald sea, light blue sky, hot weather makes me feel I'm in love and miss those years I lived in Jamaica.

Coulorful leaves on the mountains makes me feel sad, Christmas is coming soon and I'm without my children and all things we did together specially on that season.

Imagination, descriptive vocabulary, logic and linking words between paragraphs and you are done!
