Creative Writing Magazines

Shirley Said:

what else could i add to my magazine for creative writing?

We Answered:

This is excellent as is, for too much will become too long for a reader who loves these things to continue to read. Most people enjoy the ads and easy-going of a magazine and don't want it to turn into a novel. Maybe put an opinion column on the winter trends. For example, tell and explain the articles of clothing that's part of the trend, then give your opinion on trends and such. This will give your readers a good idea of your thoughts on fashion and a little more on you through this. This is only optional, for you really don't need to add anymore.
You should just ensure that everything is professional, grammar correct, etc. Have someone, whether it's the teacher that assigned this or a parent/adult to read over this and tell you what needs to be added, if anything. As it is at the moment, you need nothing. Hope this helps.

Douglas Said:

magazines and newspaper publishers don't accept ur work. if u don't have creative writing course from reputed

We Answered:

Although having completed a course may add to your credentials, I've never heard of having to have one in a query for publication. Also, many courses are taught by private companies instead of universities, such as Long Ridge. These tend to be less costly and can be accomplished via internet and snail mail.

As the owner of a writing group, I know that many things attribute to your chances of publication. And it's rarely easy due to intense competition. Most of us have enough rejection slips to paper a room. Or house.

Discussion with other writers about editing your work, learning how to approach the editor with your manuscript, and other variables are the best ways to improve your chances, in my opinion.

Does anyone have a good title for an article about Creative Writing!?

We Answered:

Dragons, Fairies, Unicorns; Oh My! The Possibilities are Endless!

Whatever You Want.

What came first, the plot or the characters?

(Sorry, I'm not too creative myself :/ )

Ted Said:

Where can a 14 year old go for work experience in Journalism/creative writing in Bristol, England?

We Answered:

Instead of sending a letter to the local paper, she should actually pay them a visit as they are more likely to take on someone who shows initiative than someone who just sends out an email, especially since they will no doubt receive countless letters/emails from kids in the same position.

She could also get in touch with the universities in the area as they often run newspapers and might be willing to take her on for a placement.
