Creative Writing Images

Justin Said:

When using creative commons attrib. licensed images in PowerPoint, how should you reference the author?

We Answered:

Hi,

You've asked a question that would require an attorney to answer properly, and I'm not an attorney so this is not legal advice.

Here is what I would do. I would paste the hyperlink of the location each picture in the slide notes.

I would also create an individual slide that references the creative commons license model for the pictures with a link to creative commons.

If you want to be thorough, you should include the date of the creation of each picture along with the date of the death of the creator, so that each picture's copy rights can properly pass to the public domain at the appropriate time.

Any good creative writers?

We Answered:

How about if you ask "What if your mother married to other than your dad?" Then applies to everyday because you realized how hard it is for a life to be born into this world. a sement fighting with tens of thousands of others to reach eggs and be born a life. Then the life must survive in womb for 10 months, and then sickness, hardship, how easy it is that I could have been someone else! Yet god or chance gave me this life and how I should treasure it and live everyday fully as payment for such precious oppertunity :]

That's what I think.

Edit: I see. So how about as a child you use to ask if there is a Santa Claus and as you grow older, you know there might not be one, but you ask now:" What if I become Santa Claus, what if I become rich and buy toys for Children on chrismas eve? You realized maybe there is a Santa claus after all, and he is in you and every person's heart.

Creative Writing homework - I don't understand what this assignment means?

We Answered:

I'll admit that is kind of an odd assignment. Use metaphors and similes. Such as, I yearned for him like a horse yearns for hay (metaphor), or he flung open the stable doors of my heart, and set free the horse that is my love. (simile). Just play with the words and it shouldn't be too hard. Just translate whatever you want to say into barn terminology. For instance, if he set your heart on fire, you could say "My heart was an old pile of wood, stagnant and unused, until the day he came along, and ignited my heart like a farmer who sets the wood on fire." Haha, just have fun with it, because poetry isn't very strict.

Hope this helps.

English Creative writing I am confuse help please?

We Answered:

I'm assuming your assignment is to deconstruct or analyze the pieces you mentioned. Take whichever piece you prefer and read it through twice, the first as you would normally and the second time with a highlighter to pick out instances of concrete images and anything interesting in the setting you come across. Keeping these in mind read it once more to see if you can figure out how it works from there.

Keep an eye out for the use of lexical sets, pathetic fallacy (e.g. when it rains at a funeral on tv or it's always a lovely sunny day at the happy ending) and personification.

Hope this helped! Good luck with your assignment.
