(Repost) Creative Writing, what do you think? We Answered:
There are two options for creative writing here:1. Descriptive Piece - which focuses on using imagery (senses) to describe the scene.
2. Narrative Piece - which uses the picture as a starter for a narrative story following a plot development. (which might also contain some viivd description)
It doesn't sound like your teacher has been very clear about what he or she wants from you.
If it is a descriptive piece - make a mind map of all the sensory appeals you can think of which relate to the picture - what can you hear? see? smell? taste? feel? - once you have these, then try to develop unique descriptions. Avoid cliches like "It was huge, like a house." With a scene such as you describe, there are some great ideas you could incorporate such as climate - might the air taste of heat and sweat and desperation?
Try to go for unusual descriptions.
If its a story... then you need to come up with a beginning- middle -end plot line and carry this on.

I'm writing a book and need creative name ideas for places.?We Answered:
Do not let naysayers deter you from writing. The best way to succeed is to keep writing. Go for it.I like the suggestion about taking a word and scrambling the letters. I've found some of my words in Seek-a-Word puzzles. Remember to make it easy to pronounce. If your book is likely to read out loud, you don't want anyone wondering just how to pronounce "Cornia" or "Flabberghast." Not that I would suggest anyone use Flabberghast. It sounds ghastly. On the other hand, the villain could be from there....

creative gift ideas for elementary kids?We Answered:
My mom was a teacher for kindergarten, and she has also been a teacher for first grade. I don't know how old they are in your class that you help, but lots of elementary kids love colored pens. You could buy each of them pens, maybe 2 or 3 each, with black ink, but the outside of them is a pretty color. Then maybe tie them together with ribbons and give them to the students. It's not made, but I'm sure they would love it. I hope this helps. Also, if the school allows food, maybe bake them cookies?Penny Said:
Creative ideas for a tattoo that incorporates your children? We Answered:
Since it will go on her lower back, how about a "family vine" instead of a "family tree" ?? She could have the vine done and add hearts or maybe flowers with each child's initials. Kinda like adding charms on a bracelet i guess....another child is born, she adds on to the vine.Discuss It!
