How to be assertive?We Answered:
WOW ....you will have to tread with caution.Maybe you could do the extra work with your child yourself.
Its a hard thing to suggest really.....unless you just put it out there with her and be upfront and honest?
Vera Said:
Why would one post a manuscript on the internet? We Answered:
1) feedback. You can learn halfway through that your writing is crap and go back to the drawing board without having wasted additional time.2) Unpublished writers are usually happy just to have an audience. It's nice if somebody besides your grandmother indulges you by reading your writing.
3) Anything published on the web is automatically copyrighted.

My baby girls first 6 months- Questions?: Looking for answers, advice, anything really.?We Answered:
hmmm, i wrote a long...and hopefully helpful answer that now i can't load? anyways i would love to give you practical advice, well as much as i am able. email me rnandcn2004@yahoo.ca i will aslo keep trying to post my original answerwow, some brutal answers eh? well yeah it is true that this is pretty much your life now, but it can be made easier and get help where you can, so u don't burn out.
I am currently struggling with the whole getting the baby to sleep in his crib thing too. i generally, nurse him in my bed until he is asleep then move him to his crib. he almost always wakes up and i will rub his back or belly and hum or shhhh him trying to mimic the sound of my deep breathing of sleep. once he is relaxed again i go to bed and let him cry for 5 min then go and rub his back and whatever again. he usually falls asleep then. I know that it is really hard to hear them cry, but it can be an important learning opportunity. yes they r sad, yes they want mommy, but they do not NEED you all the time. want and need are 2 different things. and babies need to learn that too.
My son did the same kinda thing sleeping he was great when he was first born only waking up maybe 1 a night and sleeping for 8 h, then we all got colds and ever since it is a battle to have him stay asleep. he is starting to be better. I put him down for sleep around 10 then he is up for a feed and i take him to bed with us at about 3ish. Some kids are not great sleepers so brace yourself just in case. My daughter didn't sleep through the night till she was 11mo. now she sleeps great.
I moved to a new city just before my first was born, so i know how lonely it can be. Facebook has lots of moms groups, i found 3 for my city...but had to go through 2 of them before finding the one that fit best. we get together once a week at the park or somewhere really cheap and i feel kinda lame saying that it's the highlight of my week. But having other moms to talk to that can relate is very important to keep you sane.
take advantage of the pool thingy the time to yourself is important and yes she will cry while u r gone but hopefully she will quickly learn that she can have fun without you too. Always say goodbye and tell her, i will be back in 30 min, 1 hour whatever the amount of time will be. don't try to sneak away or she will begin to worry that you may just randomly disappear. I have always told my kids how long i will be gone and given them a hug and said good bye and it seems to really make a difference compared to other kids i see getting dropped off at sunday school or with the sitter.
as for getting more patience. when you just cant take it anymore strap her into a jolly jumper or her high chair or whatever, and just go in the other room and have a cry or i like to go into the back yard and just scream at the top of my lungs for a min. the neighbours haven't complained yet lol.
Best of luck, I am sure i missed some questions but feel free to email me, i can't promise an answer to everything but i will at least be able to tell you how i did it and if it worked or not. parenting is as much about learning from ur mistakes as growing up is.
