My baby girls first 6 months- Questions?: Looking for answers, advice, anything really.?

We Answered:

Wow that's a lot lol. Do you have any help from anyone? Your parents? Friends? Baby's father? Since your young and it seems that this is the first time you've ever taken care of a child, you should get books or read online articles about child care. Believe or not they can be really useful.

Babies can be spoiled. Trust me. You shouldn't have her used to you holding her all the time or else she'll be cranking when you're not holding her. It's time you start getting her used to being her bed, chair, bouncer, whatever. Just not in your arms. Have you tried wrapping her up tightly in warm blankets? It usually gives babies the feeling that they're in someone's arms and its comforting to them. My niece was like that. She would only sleep if you wrapped her tightly in a blanket and rocked her.
Stick with baby toys that are made for her age. Every baby toy (just like baby food) have a age on the box.
You should play "games" with her that help her learn and also strengthens her body (i.e. neck, arms, legs) Is she crawling yet? Can she lift herself up with her arms if she's on her tummy? Laying out a blanket on the floor and having her roll around/crawl helps a lot.

Being impatient is normal but try not to yell at her please. It only makes the baby cry more. But ignoring her when she cries isn't always bad if she's just crying for attention. I suggest you get some help. Maybe YMCA will be helpful so you can meet friends and possibly other single mothers?

I think maybe you're just overreacting a lot since it's your first time but look into the baby books at ur library or online.

GOOD LUCK!
