They've suggested you study two things,right?
-- the beginning of the novel
-- different points of view to write from eg 1st,2nd,3rd, omniscient ( I think that used to be called the "Eye of God' perspective.)
So, maybe they are going to ask you to rewrite the beginning of the novel using another point of view? This would involve a certain amount of creativity plus knowledge of the novel/perspective.

im in year 10, and i had a similar exam recently, but about 'great expectations' you have to read the text, get ideas about analysing it, anchor those ideas down with solid evidance, quotes and points. n try your best :P
