What are some good film schools in the USA or England?

We Answered:

Believe it or not, New Mexico is becoming the next Hollywood for films! Central New Mexico (CNM) Community College has a number of programs designed for this field, and we have two studios at this time. Many films are currently in production here, and there are plans to further development.

Best wishes.

Need Reviews for the 1st chapter of my Vampire Novel. 10 points for best answer!?

We Answered:

W-O-W!!!!! It's really good! I love it, it makes me want to read more :)

I think you should slow it down a little, it all seems a bit fast. And to really showcase your talent, I think you should add more descriptions like adjectives, metaphors and similies.

But overall, your first chapter really engages the reader to read more.

Javier Said:

What does it mean? How does it make you feel, what emotions does the piece evoke?

We Answered:

What do you mean "What does it mean?" It's pretty obvious. Some person was poor and his dad loved books so he would get books at whatever chance he got. The kid couldn't read but he understood what a paragraph was. And the way he saw it was that is was a fence. And all the paragraphs had different meanings and so on. No interesting emotions. I just read it and thought; "Wow that was boring." The last paragraph did give me some insight though. I thought it was quite clever how he thought it was like a fence because he found a way to connect reading to his life even though he couldn't read at all. That was pretty interesting. There is probably not many times when you can't do something but yet you understand it so well. (By that; I do not mean that you understand how football is played but you can't play it. I mean something beyond that.) Like the person in the little excerpt. He couldn't read but he understood the concept of creating a paragraph so well that he could even connect it to his own life just by looking at the page.

anyway, hope i helped.

Writing Jobs For Novice Writers?

We Answered:

Look for a job with a publisher...any job that will get you in the door... and work your way up to be an editor.

Barry Said:

Do I have a chance at UC Berkeley or UCLA?

We Answered:

I'm guessing you're in state (Los Angeles Youth Newspaper), so those would both be reasonable reaches for you. Keep in mind that big state schools like UCLA and Cal care a lot more about numbers than extracurriculars (in fact, this is true of most schools outside of the top tier). If you can get your SAT up to a 2100, then you will have a good shot at both, but I wouldn't count on either.

You should also take a look at the other UC's. If you're in the top 4% of your graduating class, then you have ELC, so you would be guaranteed admission to at least one of the UC's.
UC San Diego is a good school, as is UCSB (it is known for being a party school), and UC Irvine is pretty good, too. Also look at USC. While it's not as big as the UC's, you might like it (it tends to be a lot more expensive, though). Also look at the CSUs for safeties.

Good luck!
