i know what you mean, when i listen to songs it influences my characters and things. and yeah i fell like i know them, but i guess you have to to be able to think what they would say or do in a situation! =)

I don't agree with the concept of every student receiving an award, regardless of whether they have earned one or not. I feel that this sets a dangerous precedent that will not hold true in adult life. Healthy self esteem is tremendously important, but not if it is based on a false premise. Having said that, I realize that it is probably too late to change your format for this year so...
How about:
A Best Friend Award - Voted on by the students
Boy and Girl Athlete Awards - Based on P.E. grades
Boy and Girl Music Awards - Based on Choir or Band grades
Art Awards - Based on Art grades
Service Awards - for those who help clean up, or help others with classwork
Most Improvement Award - One for each subject
