Message in a Bottle - why not take a empty wine bottle and place your letter in it. For a dramatical effect write the letter on heay paper and tear the edges to give a natural look to the paper ->

you could have written a letter saying how the stupid health class and horrible teacher were ruining your life, and you just couldn't take it anymore. every time you got a new assignment from your health class you went home and cut yourself to relieve hte pain. you know, lay on the angst. finally you felt like you had to leave the city to escape from the horrors of health class. that would have been funny/shocked the teacher for sure. not too subtle however.

Write backwards. Or write it while looking in a mirror. go to an online translator and write it in german so they have to do it too. Make a list of questions that you might find interesting. (or one of those cool "who am i" surveys. Start a story, add something new to it every letter. Ask impossible questions? Which came first, Chicken/egg? Tell the person a little about yourself. I'm sure if you sent the person a picture they'd want to get to know the face. send them wierd objects. (Paper clips, maybe magazine or newspaper articles that interest you. funny pictures.)

Look on the internet to find out what the current staff counselors have done recently. During an interview, ask questions about the cases you have researched.

Of course, you will not want to study cases that the company lost; nor do you want to make them believe that you think you could have done better. Show them that after you get the job.
